New Class with Kathy Rees

The Shining Needle Society (SNS) will have a class with Kathy beginning in late April. Here is how they describe it, “This geometric counted canvas design uses soothing colors, unusual stitches, and a variety of thread textures to create a feeling of peace and serenity. Several metallics are sprinkled throughout to add sparkle and shine. Several different sizes of squares and rectangles are used to create movement while still experiencing calmness.

The picture shows Kathy’s original color combination in “Wood Pond,” and there are four additional color options available. See pictures in the attached pdf. You can also choose your own colors by ordering the “instructions only” version, if you prefer.

Serenity is a counted design stitched on 18-count mono canvas. It measures approximately 6” x 10” (canvas is cut 10” x 14″). Threads included are: Gloriana Silk Floss and Princess Perle, Vineyard Silk (2 colors), Overdyed Vineyard Silks and Rainbow Gallery’s Mandarin Floss, Neon Rays (2 colors), Petite Sparkle Rays, Silk Lame (2 colors), Splendor, and Water ‘n Ice. Color options are pictured at the end of this document. Your canvas will arrive with the design already line-drawn (by Kathy herself!), so you can begin stitching immediately.”

Registration is open through April 3.
