Nimble Needle (214 Johnson Ferry Road NE) in Sandy Springs will have Mark Craddock teaching What Stitch Where on February 23 from 1 to 5. Here’s what they say about the class, “In this class, bring a canvas you are in a quandary on to get suggestions for what stitch works where. We will pull some canvases off of the walls to determine what stitches work in which area.”
He will be teaching an Introduction to Beading on March 21 from 1 to 4. “You will learn the basics of beading including how to sew on individual, lines, and groups of beads, how to lasso bead, basketweave or “Don Lynch” beading, and brick stitch beading. Mark will also show you how to do beading in your composite stitches.”
In April, he will be teaching Scads of Plaids on April 25 from 1 to 4. In the class you “will learn the basics of putting in the patterns as well as stitch a few of the different varieties – Celtic Plaids, Birthday Plaids, Cell Phone Plaids, Social Security Plaids, Password Plaids, Beaded Plaids, and Celtic Tartan Plaids! We’ll look at how to make them and all of their uses – from clothing to eyeglass cases to backgrounds.”
Aclass on backgrounds will be April 26 from 1 to 5. In May he will teach one-day classes on beards and variegated threads.
