3/20 Morning COVID-19 Update

Here’s the latest from shops:

  • In St. Louis Sign of the Arrow (9814 Clayton Road) is closed to walk-in traffic. They will continue to process custom orders, belts, and finishing. They are accepting email and phone orders and offer curbside pickup.
  • In Chicago,2 Needle Chicks (406 Peterson Rd) in Libertyville has cancelled stitch-ins until further notice. They offer curbside pickup and free local delivery.
  • In Los Angeles, Garden Gate (236 N. Citrus St) in Conia is closed to the public until April 19. They will be processing phone orders to ship Monday-Saturday from 10 to 2.

Because this will affect your ability to buy threads and canvases, Rainbow Gallery & Fleur de Paris will not be shipping starting March 23 until further notice. They are still shipping today. This is by the California governor’s order (probably the most restrictive in the country) forcing many businesses to close for the moment. For us, as stitchers, this means it’s important to order items from these companies ASAP while shops can still get orders.

Most other designers and many thread makers work from home and should not be affected.
