New Laura Perin Bargello Pattern

This popular designer of charted needlepoint has just released Bargello and Carnations, her newest design.

Using a lovely pink and green palette, the design combines two of Laura’s favorite things: dianthus (the family of carnations) and Bargello.

In the random facts category did you know that both the color pink and the term pinking for a zig-zag edge come from this flower? The wildflower version of dianthus is called a pink (one of my favorite flowers). It has zig-zag edges and is pink in color. So the flower lent its name to both the color and the edge.
