First the Fargo store closed, then the on-line store had huge sales. After months of speculation, Nordic Needle announced their future plans yesterday.
Here’s the email:
After all of our remaining physical inventory is gone, Nordic Needle will be a purely downloadable content website. All of the patterns you’ve loved and wanted, will be available from our website for download to your computer or tablet. Many of you have been doing so for the past year, as we have been adding more and more patterns. The downloadable content has been very popular and customers have been happy with the speed of delivery, quality of the files, cheaper price, and best of all, zero shipping!
While we understand that many of you have come to expect the great patterns, fabrics, and products that we have sent you over the nearly 43 years Nordic Needle has been in business, the financial restraints and high costs have made this new model a reality. We will still be the place you go to find Hardanger and many other heritage techniques that you have been accustomed to finding at Nordic Needle.
There are still a lot of products in stock that we are selling off, so stop by the website and load up your stash on incredible prices!! Once it’s gone, there won’t be anymore ordered.
And don’t worry, the Save the Stitches site will still be there too! You’ll never lose the most comprehensive stockpile of tips, tricks and techniques that the Save The Stitches site brings to everyone.
There will be more information to come
